Why are we here?

I am a musician/librarian who loves to own and care for herds of cats and who loves to cook for other people. I grew up with a Brazilian/Italian mother and a father from New Jersey, both who also love to cook. My brother and I were lucky to learn about life in the context of real and healthy foods, cooked at home and from the heart. I hope to continue this with my family as we live on... I married a vegetarian, which completely changed my vision for food and has been a learning experience for me. Even though we're no longer vegetarian, most of our food is focused on vibrant fruits & vegetables. This blog is here to log my adventures through cooking, finding recipes, and planning menus.
